Today I got the chance to just have a day with my husband. We went to Canal Park/Park Point and just drove around. I wanted to go into the shops on Canal Park because I've seen commercials of them and they look nice. However, I didn't think the shops would be open, so we decided just to drive around. We both enjoyed our drive. It was such a neat place. On the way back to Duluth we got stuck behind the lift bridge while a ship went through. It was pretty neat to see the ship go through and then watch the bridge come back down. After that we went Christmas looking since we didn't really have the resources to go shopping. That was fun too, we found some great stuff that we would like to get for our families. I bought my husband an early Christmas present (actually he got it, but I was going to). Then we just hung out this afternoon and then we put up our ornaments on our tree. It makes our house feel more like our's even though it isn't. It makes my time here a little happier.
